Plot
The film follows two homicide detectives' who are desperate to track down a serial killer who chooses his victims according to the seven deadly sins.
Trailer
The trailer has many concepts and ideas that are featured in a typical film-noir. Including the dark and gloomy atmosphere through out, the mise-en-scene which shows outfits that would be present in a typical film/neo noir. Also venetian blinds are present through out, even though the film is in colour that idea of a film noir is present through things like this. We are also presented with nice long shots, especially when the villain is seen down the end of a long corridor and is hidden by shadows.
Screen Shots
Here we are presented with venetian blinds, something very important and noticeable about a film/neo noir.
This shot shows strong shadows, which is very typical of a film noir. This shot adds mystery and suspense to the film.
This shows an extreme long shot of our villain, but also presents us with some nice mise-en-scene. The shot here is one of my favourite of the film, I think it adds a lot of mystery but also threat and drama to the plot.
Here is a shot which shows our villain's outline and shadow while the camera is focused on a muddle, this is very typical of a film noir and it adds to the sense of mystery.
