Here are two different poster ideas that I came up with. From looking at previous film/neo noir posters, I tried to take on board things that were present in them posters and try to convey the message/images onto my own poster. As you can see in the poster on the right, the male character is the central person and is surrounded by female company, with all eyes on him. This is to show the importance of the character and also gives a hint at what the story might involve. At this point in time, there wasn't much discussed about our plot apart from the fact that this male character was playing two women at once. Hence why all eyes are on him.
The bold heading at the bottom of the poster is there to stand out and also give us another hint at what the story may involve. The title would be in bold black font and would take up quarter of the poster. One of the female characters would be wearing a very seductive red dress, while the other is a complete contrast and will be wearing a glamorous white dress. The male character would be wearing a typical 1950's outfit, this involves a smart suit and a trilby hat, while smoking a cigarette.
Meanwhile In the other poster I took a different approach and spread the characters over the poster. In the bottom part of the poster we are presented with our two female characters, both with weapons. Again one in a very seductive red dress and the other looking innocent in a white dress. The title of the film would again be in a bold black font, but this time in the centre of the poster, this would attract people's eyes to read the title. Last of all our male character takes up the whole top half of the poster, but we only see a close-up of him. Again he is wearing a suit, trilby and smoking a cigarette. But this time I decided to hide him in shadows as I feel this adds a mystery to the poster and would make people wonder why there is this sense of mystery and gloom in this character.
Overall I am happy with the way both posters have come out, even though when it comes down to creating the real thing there may be a few changes. But I will try to follow the same concept as I have in the original posters.
