Scene Five
Four days later, Clark is rushing down the stairs with his briefcase and papers fall out of his briefcase by accident, Clark picks most of them up apart from photographs and a draft about his plot against Nancy. Martha reads this draft and is in shock at what Clark is planning on doing, Martha runs out the door to try and follow Clark.
Scene Six
The scene opens with Clark walking up towards Nancy's house with Martha following Clark, hiding close behind him. Clark is quickly welcomed into Nancy's house meanwhile Martha is outside watching through the window and discovers they're having an affair. Clark soon leaves Nancy's house, while Martha posts the draft of Clark's story through Nancy's letter box.
