Brick

Brick a gritty mystery thriller, considered a Neo-Noir which stars Joseph Gordan-Levitt (Inception) as the main character Brendan.
The story is about a teenage loner, who is trying to investigate the dissapearance of an Ex-girlfriend. While investigating the dissapearance Brendan gets himself into trouble, and almost becomes the bad guy himself when he involves himself with the drug scene around his area. The film follows many conventions of a modern film-noir such as the classic cigarette smoking, typical femme fatale character, who trys to lead Brendan off course when trying to sort stuff out. The sound through out the film also has traits of a typical Neo-noir, the threatening low key tone which starts when trouble is about to take place. And also the characters name are also very cleverly done, such as the bad ass character in the film named "Tug" which in itself is sort of a play on thug, which is very much what he is.

Overall the film was very exhilarating and the film had plenty of action and drama through out, and I would definitely watch it in the future.
